Saurus CMS ships with most common applications such as article list, blog, news with archive, forum and image gallery, packaged as content templates. In addition to the built-in content templates, site-specific custom applications can be developed using Saurus API.

Saurus is a content management system that is made specifically for users who are not technical experts. It is easy to use, yet still allows for very impressive looking websites. Before going any further, it is important to note that Saurus is no longer being developed. They say that they may release patches for security issues, but no major updates will be coming so it is not recommended that anyone build a site on this platform. There is a version of the CMS called Dino that is being developed still, but it is not related to the developers of Saurus so that is not being reviewed here.
If you already have a site that is based in Saurus, you can continue to use it and even install Saurus on a new hosting server to transfer it over to. Eventually, however, you will likely want to move over to a better supported CMS.
